I picked up this set of four Micro Gainz 1.25 lb fractional plates for micro-loading. The alloy steel build feels sturdy, and having four plates gives flexibility in adding 1.25, 2.5, 3.75, or 5 lbs. The 2-year warranty is a nice touch. However, the price is eye-watering at $213.83 — that's over $200 for less than 5 lbs of weight. There's no rubber coating, so they're just raw steel. If you have the cash and want a matching set for precise increments, they work. Otherwise, look for cheaper options.
